All About Me

I saw this on Mariah's post, and it looked fun.. We'll see how long it takes to get it done.

100 Things About Me

1. My Mom has always been one of my best friends. I rarely go more than a day without talking to her, although I think all her kids could say the same thing.
2. I often feel that I am not a very good Mom, and should try harder to be better.
3. In contrast to #2, there is no one who could love Nathan more than I do. (His future wife will someday disagree with me, I'm sure).
4. We just subscribed to the Disney Movie Club. I hate movie clubs, so we fulfilled our commitment all in one order! That is the way to go.
5. I've never really enjoyed having curly hair.
6. My first kiss was in college.
7. I majored in Psychology, but have never worked in that field, although I'd still really love to someday be a Marriage counselor.
8. Jon and I broke up at least 3 times while we were dating. By the end... I was a stronger woman, and made him promise me that I was the most important thing in his life.
9. I just started teaching piano this month after years of lapse. I am really loving it!
10. I am missing dance more than words could describe, and wish there was some way that I could continue.
11. I really love to read, and wish I had more time to do it. I guess I'm too busy blogging. :)
12. I would love to eventually run in a 1/2 marathon, but I think I'd have to start with something really small... like a 5k. And I'd really love to do it for free. :)
13. I LOVE having a best friend across the hall. And Nathan loves having best friends across the hall too.
14. I hesitate moving because of #13.
15. I had post pardum depression after Nathan was born until just recently, and I feel liberated to feel normal again.
16. Jon got me a heart-rate monitor for our anniversary, and I LOVE it!
17. I love playing the piano.
18. I am often overwhelmed by my calling and feel there are many others who could do a better job.
19. I am a sucker for sappy movies, but also love suspense as long as they aren't thrillers.
20. I love food... which leads to # 21.
21. I have been self conscious about my body since puberty... which leads to...
22. I usually feel guilty when I eat. (I know it's not healthy)
23. I recently signed up for The Biggest Loser Diet, and I really like it. I don't always stick to it, but I've lost 6 pounds. Yea Me!
24. I love it when the Ensign comes in the mail.
25. I love Chocolate Milk.
26. I enjoy housework because it brings instant gratification.
27. I don't enjoy housework because it NEVER ends.
28. I haven't gone to bed before midnight more than twice in the past couple weeks. It is a really bad habit, that i need to fix.
29. Jon and I were in a car accident while we were dating, and I broke my back.
30. A broken heart is worse than a broken back.
31. My cousin passed away in September, and I still have a hard time when I think about it.
32. I 'sell' Avon, but mostly just buy it.
33. I have a lot more fears since I have a child.
34. one of my fears is fire.
35. I have Jon's friend Dan in my cell phone b/c he lives close, he has no fear, and he has a gun.
36. I haven't had a speeding ticket since I've been married. Unfortunately, I still drive fast frequently.
37. I'm not sure I can come up with 100 things. I've been at this for at least 30 minutes.
38. I really enjoy reality TV. Biggest loser, Apprentice, American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance.
39. Jon doesn't really enjoy reality TV.
40. I have a debt payoff plan. Right now we should be completely out of debt (minus the mortgage) in 2.5 years.
41. I also enjoy watching CSI, House, & The Office.
42. I NEVER sew, but I really loved making Nathan a quiet book (and his cousins). I enjoy sewing a little bit more now.
43. I can still list every person in my 6th grade class... in alphabetical order... don't ask why.
44. My awesome neighbor just brought us apple cinnamon bread.
45. Yesterday I found a crayon in the toilet.
46. I am probably ready to have a baby, but I am NOT ready to be pregnant.
47. Most watched movies in our house lately: Meet the Robinsons, Ratatouille, Cars, among other Disney movies.
48. I can't wait to have a yard and a basement!!
49. I have a really strong testimony of Visiting Teaching, but I always struggle to get it done.
50. I love shopping, but I don't have much money to do it for fun.
51. I HATE grocery shopping... spending lots of money on items you are going to have to buy again next week.
52. I always wish I would've stuck with team longer at BYU (dance).
53. Jon was my first (and last) serious relationship.
54. I really wish that my Mom and sister would start blogging.
55. Jon thinks my blogging habit is silly.
56. I miss school (college), but I don't miss the stress of being there.
57. I love typing.
58. I was a lot more consistent with reading my scriptures before I got married.
59. I think Nathan was the cutest baby I have ever seen.
60. I love jewelry.
61. Nathan just woke up and is screaming to get out of bed.
62. I love my treadmill.
63. We own almost all of the Living Scripture Movies.
64. I am allergic to penicillin (my only allergy), which I passed on to Nathan.
65. I love to scrapbook
66. I love layered lettuce salad (yummy and healthy recipe!!)
67. I'm not that worried about sharing personal information
68. Jon is very worried about identity theft
69. Vacuuming is my favorite chore
70. I have a strong testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ
71. I have been fortunate to have made extremely close friends over the years, and am lucky to still be in touch with many of them today.
72. Nathan tests my patience every day... and every day it is different.
73. I would love to have more money for home decor.
74. I wished my sister lived closer so that we could hang out during the day.
75. I paid for dance and piano lessons in Jr. high and high school by teaching piano.
76. One of my favorite jobs was a customer service representative for Amway in Michigan, during the summer after my freshman year of college.
77. I would like the opportunity to live in 'the mission field' again.
78. When I was little, I wanted to be a doctor. They had to go to school forever, so then I wanted to be a nurse. They had to help people go to the bathroom (and clean it up), so then I wanted to be a teacher. I always imagined the way I would do things if I was a teacher. I still think it would be fun. I wanted to be a psychology teacher, but BYU would not allow me to get a teaching certificate without majoring in general education. In high school I wanted to be a choir teacher, but was too intimidated to major in music at BYU.
79. I have my life insurance license, and REALLY enjoy the education about different products. TIP: A 401k is NOT the best retirement option!!
80. I always get hot when I sleep, so I turn the temp. way down at night. (Jon always gets cold at night).
81. I was sick for pretty much all of my pregnancy with Nathan.
82. I was induced with Nathan... and loved it!!
83. Labor recovery was much worse than I thought it would be.... it lasted months and months. But the actual labor was a breeze, and I really enjoyed that part.
84. A few months after Nathan was born, I got a lump in my breast that was the size of a baseball (and very painful).
85. Nathan loves to color and write on everything... except paper. Thank goodness for Mr.Clean sponges. (Last week I got permanent marker off of my Mom's wood floors).
86. I always lose things... keys, phone, jewelry, you name it!
87. I get nervous talking in front of a lot of people.
88. I LOVE playing games. I could play every single night and not get sick of it.
89. I love it when Nathan comes up and grabs my face with both hands to give me a kiss. I feel so loved... even when I'm not the best Mom. Kids are so forgiving.
90. Nathan is going to grow up to be a sports star and a dancer. (I'll blog about this later).
91. I love my carpet.
92. I am constantly grateful for my family, good health, and a home.
93. I can't wait until Nathan is potty trained, but I haven't even started. It seems very overwhelming.
94. Now that I have a child, I feel like I should have plenty of life insurance and a will.
95. I enjoy a good massage, and am really needing one. I found the BEST massage therapist, so if anyone needs one, let me know.
96. I talk to Jon on the phone at least 2x a day while he is at work.
97. I have never had a manicure, and only had a pedicure once when I was pregnant. Jon gave it to me as a gift.
98. I can't stand dishes in the right side of the sink (the side with the disposal). I also can't stand it when dishes are in the sink that have not been rinsed off.
99. I have a phobia of hair. Ugh...
100. I'm not a big fan of wood floors. I'd much rather have tile.

Wow... I can't believe I came up with 100 things. It took me forever... but I did it. It was fun. I challenge anyone who read this to do the same. It really makes you think about who you are and what makes you different... or the same. Leave a comment and let me know you tried it, so I can read yours as well. It would be fun to get to know everyone a little bit more.

Meliss, I know you're dying to do this one. :) I can't wait.

New Look

Someone responded to my plea for help with my blog. Funny enough, it was someone who didn't know me, but they gave me a link to a blog from someone in my ward. Crazy! Thanks for the help. So my blog has a new look, and I like it. I also have a new look! I got my hair cut yesterday, and I really love that as well. I think I just needed a change. Too much of the same and I start to feel like I am in an emotional rut.
Nathan also has a new look! He got a haircut today while he was taking a bath. (That is the easiest and least messy way to get it done). I feel funny taking pictures of myself, but maybe I'll take one of Nathan when he gets up from his nap, so you can see his new hair.
