Spring Fever?

So today was a hard day. Nathan has been sick for 3 going on 4 days, and I think now Matthew is getting it too. Nathan was especially difficult today. Hopefully that is just because he is tired and doesn't feel good. He thought it would be a good day to talk back, whine like crazy, bully Matthew, and you name it. I shouldn't just remember the negative, but for some reason that stands out. I think I am feeling lonely and a little depressed. I'm not sure why. Jon has been gone long hours since January, so that could factor in. I also think I'm really wishing it was spring and warm outside. I have a really hard time if I feel like I can't go anywhere, which I totally hate saying, because I LOVE my house. But I wish I could take the boys outside to play, or go for a walk around the neighborhood or to the park. I'm sad that I feel sad... And I have so many reasons to be happy. But I really wish I had a best friend close by... like really close by (within a block or two). I wish my sister (Jenny) lived here, cause I know we'd probably let our kids play together, and do crafts, and get together just to talk and hang out... and I don't really do that with anyone right now, except sometimes with my Mom. Maybe after Kayla has babies and quits working she will hang out with me too. :) But I think this is still 2 or 3 years down the road.

As I looked through pictures, trying to see if I had any to post, I thought "How could I be sad? Look at my 2 adorable boys?" But still the feelings linger. Hopefully they go away with the cold weather.

So here are the adorable boys:

Here is our 'banana man' again. He just loves those things.

My baby is trying really hard to be a big boy. This is hard on me. I am most definitely not wanting another baby yet. So I really want my baby to be a baby for a while longer. But he will have none of that. Here are pictures of him trying to put soap in the dishwasher. He did this while I wasn't looking, so then I turned around and had to grab the camera. Apprently he totally knows what to do after putting the dishes in.

His favorite 'big boy' chore is to brush his teeth. He loves to stand on that stool and put his toothbrush in the water and try to brush his teeth. I guess he got jealous always watching Nathan do it. But now he screams every time I make him leave the bathroom. He would stand there for hours.

I was trying to get the boys to smile, but the only way I could keep Matthew looking at the camera was to play peek-a-boo.

Today I was sitting at the counter at the computer and Nathan tried to sneak into the kitchen. He grabbed the bag of bread and a knife and started to head downstairs. I told him he needed to ask before he got food. He then went on to say that he was getting it for Matt-man because he was asleep and needed some food. Obviously he was getting it for himself, but when I confirmed with him that Matthew was actually asleep, I went down and found him like this, and took him up to bed for a nap.
So a few funny stories:

What do you want to be?
I was at the doctor yesterday, and the nurse came in to take my blood pressure. Nathan saw her and said "Hey, I have one of those... it's in my toys." She said, "oh, do you want to be a doctor when you grow up?" He said "No.. I'm going to be a dad... and my baby (pointing to Matthew) is going to grow up and be a dad too." She thought that was pretty cute.

Why are you coughing?
Nathan was coughing today... (he has been coughing for four days). After his spurt was over, he said "Oh man, I think I swallowed too much fairy dust." I was cracking up inside. He then informed me that today is 'tooth fairy day.' I think that was the theme on one of his disney channel cartoons. Haha.

I really do have the cutest kids on the planet. Oh, How I LOVE THEM! Even on awful days... I think we really need a vacation.
