July 2nd
Kayla had a bridal shower in Idaho Falls that Jenny put together. She did a wonderful job! Everything was beautiful and the food was delicious! I am putting together a shower for Kayla down here in Utah, and I don't think I'll be able to top what Jenny did for her!
Josh fixed us a yummy breakfast, and then we were able to meet up with Meliss at Reed's dairy for yummy Ice Cream. It was great to see her and meet little (big) Noah. :)
We had tons of fun on the 4th. We went to the parade, where Jon made lots of noise, and drew lots of attention to get the kids some good treats. He also jumped and leaped down the road after the IF float until they gave him a T-shirt. After all these years, I still have school spirit: it's just expressed more through my husband. :)
We stopped at my Grandma Warren's to say hello and to visit.
Then we went to a Harker family picnic. It was good to see all the family. We celebrated my grandparents 75th birthdays, and my aunt's birthday.
July 5th
We went to church in my grandparents ward, and spent the day relaxing and not having to rush home for Monday.
July 6th
We got up and went out to breakfast and then headed off for bear lake. We decided to go after we were in Idaho, so we weren't very prepared. No towels, and only Nathan's swimming suit. But we still had tons of fun, and it was so beautiful.
July 7th
We went to see the movie "UP". It was great. We saw the 3-D version and went to the first showing of the day. We were the only ones in the theater, which was awesome while having the 2 boys with us!! We didn't have to worry about them bugging anyone else.
July 8th
We went on a picnic at the park, and played ball with Nathan while we were there. Then Nathan went to a friend's birthday party.
July 9th (Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad)
Jon entertained Nathan by playing 'Pirates' while I taught piano lessons. They went on a treasure hunt with an authentic treasure map and found a treasure of Popsicles in the backyard.
July 10th
We met Julie's family (Jon's sister) at Chuckie Cheese. Nathan had such a fun time. He had never been there before, but I'm sure we will be going again before too long. Then we went swimming at Jon's parents pool and had a blast!
We went up to Salt Lake and had brunch at Little America at my request. We invited my parents to come with us, and it was so... yummy! :) Then we went to Temple square and went to the visitor's center, and the church history museum. It was fun to hear Nathan talk about Jesus and for him to see the statue of Christ.
July 12th
Sunday we just relaxed and I mourned that it was my last day with Jon home. It was so fun having him with us for a whole week. We had a hard time saying goodbye to him Monday morning and I think he may have had a hard time going to work as well. Yea for a fun vacation at home. :)
